Our thoughts are with the people of Turkey and Syria following the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake which has hit regions of both countries. 

The Times reporter and feature writer, Lucy Bannerman, and photographer Richard Pohle had exclusive access to the Emergency Department at The Royal London Hospital last week. 

All our hospitals are extremely busy but will remain open to care for patients requiring treatment during the ambulance strike on Friday 10 February.

The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) has announced that physiotherapists will strike at NHS trusts, including our group of hospitals, on Thursday 9 February.
