A treatment combining a form of vitamin A with the current standard treatment for pancreatic cancer is safe for patients, according to an early phase clinical trial led by Barts Health consultant Professor Hemant Kocher.

An immunotherapy drug called ‘avelumab’ has been shown to significantly improve survival in patients with the most common type of bladder cancer, according to results from a phase III clinical trial led by Barts Health and Queen Mary University of London.
