Whipps Cross Hospital executive board

Gurjit joined Whipps Cross Hospital in August 2023, initially leading on elective recovery. In November 2023, she was appointed to the roles of Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer. Gurjit brings a wealth of experience from her career in operations and corporate roles within healthcare. She has contributed significantly to various organisations in London, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, and Whittington Health NHS Trust. Her expertise extends beyond London, having also worked at Medway NHS Foundation Trust in Kent and Medway and internationally at King’s College Hospital in the UAE.

Throughout her career, Gurjit has demonstrated exceptional skills in ensuring strong operational delivery and in developing and embedding strong clinical and corporate governance in all areas. 

Gurjit’s key focus areas include culture and change management, where she excels in engaging staff across teams with the organisation's vision and values. She is known for her strong, visible leadership, often demonstrated through coaching and mentoring, and has consistently provided strategic direction and support in every organisation she has worked in.

Gurjit studied, Human Sciences BSc (King’s College London), Health and Society MSc (King’s College London) and MBA (Henley Business School).
