Sotiris Antoniou was appointed divisional director for our clinical services division in January 2023. Sotiris joined St Bartholomew’s Hospital in February 2000 as pharmacy team leader for cardiovascular services. He was made consultant pharmacist for cardiology in 2010 and in 2018 he was appointed head of pharmacy. Sotiris was a founding member of the International Pharmacist Anticoagulation Taskforce. His research focusses on collaboration with primary care and the treatment of long-term conditions. Sotiris is an honorary senior research associate at UCL’s School of Pharmacy and adjunct assistant Professor at Purdue University in USA.

Our clinical services division was established in 2021 following the transfer of a number of services from Barts Health’s group corporate services. It sits alongside our heart and cancer divisions in our hospital governance structure and includes services such as general imaging, nuclear medicine, clinical physics and clinical research, many of which support our other sites in the Barts Health group.
