St Bartholomew's Hospital executive board

Dr Simon Woldman is the Director of Barts Heart Centre.

He attended the University of Glasgow and qualified MBChB with commendation in 1989. His postgraduate training and first consultant post were in Scotland before moving to London in 2006. He is an expert in the management of heart failure and endocarditis. He is a past president of the British Nuclear Cardiology Society and was chairman of the Heart Failure Subgroup of the London Cardiac Network.

His research interests are focussed on endocarditis, especially new methods to diagnose the condition.
