A team from St Bartholomew’s Hospital has established a new screening programme for patients requiring urgent cardiac care during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Amina Adan is a 43-year-old woman originally from Somaliland. Currently living in Tower Hamlets, she contracted Covid-19 and needed urgent treatment at the Royal London Hospital.

A donation of £20,000 from Barts Charity will leave a legacy of improved health and wellbeing at St Bartholomew’s Hospital beyond the coronavirus pandemic, including funding training courses for mental health first aiders across the site.
