#TeamBartsHealth run marathon for Barts Charity

It was an exhilarating day for our Barts Charity London marathon runners on Sunday.
What seemed like all of London took to the streets to cheer on the marathon runners as they made their way around the landmarks for a gruelling 26 miles.
Five of our staff took part to raise thousands of pounds for Barts Charity during the course of their challenge - congratulations to Catriona Rowland, Rosel Tallach, Jessica Anderson, Orla Daly, Laura Bayliss and Kevin Shire on their amazing achievements!
In fact Senior Sister Jess Anderson from AAU at the Royal London Hospital successfully beat the unofficial world record for running the marathon in a nurse's outfit with a time of 3.08.22.
She said: “My legs are a bit stiff now but I’m still buzzing! I’ve done marathons before but London was definitely the best I’ve ever experienced and the response from the crowds to my uniform was amazing and gave me so much energy. The support from my team on AAU has also been incredible.”
Rosel Tallach, anaesthetist at the Royal London Hospital has been fundraising for more than a year for Barts Charity, and the marathon was just the tip of the iceberg for her.
Last year she took on the six-day endurance race of the Costa Rican Coastal Challenge.
We are hugely grateful to our amazing #TeamBartsHealth for all their hard work training and fundraising!
