Shining a light on Barts Health staff
Over the past few weeks we have worked with the media to show the public how our staff are going above and beyond, in exceptionally difficult circumstances, to provide the best possible care to our patients.
The coverage highlights the true impact of the second wave of the pandemic on our staff from across all across the trust, our patients and their families.
Last week, we welcomed Karl Mercer, Tarah Welsh and Thomas Mackintosh from BBC London News to Newham Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s to find out first-hand how the trust is working together to manage the pandemic.
The filming resulted in Barts Health being the focus on the BBC London TV News on Friday 22 January, a follow-up piece on the ECMO team at St Bartholomew’s on Monday 25 January, an online piece, and content shared across BBC social media channels.
