Pride 2020: we stand together

This has been a Pride like no other. The recent coronavirus pandemic and the murder of George Floyd has forced us to confront inequalities in our society. We stand together with our LGBTQ+ community, and we are proud of the contribution they make to caring for our patients.
Whilst we may not be filling the streets of London this weekend, the rainbow flag still flies proudly across our city and many will be joining the NHS Virtual Pride celebrations today. Our Pride 2020 video includes representatives from our LGBTQ+ network group, together they share what Pride means to them.
We are proud of our diversity, not one of #TeamBartsHealth is the same and it’s what makes us special. No one should be subject to discrimination because of their sexuality, gender identity or the colour of their skin. We will do all we can to ensure Barts Health is a happy, inclusive and welcoming place for staff and patients.
Please do take the time to read our staff and patient stories.
