No visitors: Our visitor policy hasn't changed

NB: the below guidance is now out of date, please refer to the Coronavirus advice page for the latest update on visiting.
In line with national guidance, our visitor policy across our hospitals remains the same. With the current rise in Covid-19 cases locally and nationally we are confident that this is not the best time to relax this critical infection control measure.
We understand how difficult this can be for our patients, but please be assured that we are constantly reviewing our visitor policy in line with national guidance and making changes wherever possible. The safety of our patients and staff remain our utmost priority and we all have a part to play in helping our hospitals remain safe.
Therefore, a visitor will only be allowed into clinical areas if the patient is:
- at the end of their life
- a child
- lacks capacity (e.g. has a learning disability or dementia)
- is giving birth or attending a 12 or 20 week scan
Only one visitor at a time will be allowed in these cases. Please be reminded that a face mask or covering is mandatory when visiting our hospitals.
