Temporary car park closure this weekend

To finalise the current ramp works happening at the hospital, a crossing is required. To facilitate this, the West car parks – including drop off points – will have to close for a period of time.

They will be closed for entry this Saturday 24th October at 5pm. Exiting from the car parks will be restricted from 8pm on Saturday night and so all cars should be removed by this time. Any cars left in the car park after this time may not be able to exit until the works are completed on late Sunday afternoon.

The car park is scheduled to reopen on Sunday 25th October in the afternoon. However, as with all building works, this may be subject to delay.

Notices will be displayed in the West car parks to inform all users of the closure and to use east car parks .

Any vehicles that are still in the car park when the works begin on Sunday morning will not able to exit the car parks via usual route until late afternoon. Please contact security on 08000 29 40 70 to be given permission and access to exit via the fire road.

While the West car park is closed, all staff will be able to park within the other car parks including the public car park. Patients arriving by private car or minicabs should be dropped off on Glen Road and walk to the emergency department / the west entrance. LBN contractors will provide traffic marshals and signage on site to make sure patients and the public are aware of this.
