"Come on down to our open day!"

Simon Ashton, acting CEO of Newham Hospital talks about what to expect at Newham Hospital’s first open day in two years!

“In one week’s time, we’re throwing open the doors to our hospital and inviting local Newham residents and schools to come in and learn more about the care we provide, and the people who deliver it. I for one can’t wait!

“From 12pm-4pm on Tuesday 5 July, we’ll be showcasing some of the different services we offer across Newham Hospital, some of the support and development opportunities we offer staff and highlighting the teams who make our hospital run on a daily basis.

“We’ve also got colleagues from local organisations that we work closely with, like Healthwatch Newham, coming along to talk about what they do, and how we’re working in partnership to improve the health and care of Newham borough residents.

“On top of all that, we’ll have some fun activities taking place throughout the day and even have some goodies to give away! It’s also the NHS 74th birthday so there may be some cake…after all, what’s a birthday without cake!

“So do come on down and visit us on Tuesday 5 July and meet some of the fantastic people who work at Newham Hospital, caring for patients, learn about what it is we do in a hospital and how you can start a career in the NHS.

“It’s going to be a great day – don’t miss out!”
