  • Maria has a Doctor of Medicine Diploma, a PhD dissertation in Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
  • She has been working as a Paediatric Ophthalmologist for the last 10 years after completing her Ophthalmology training and fellowships in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Ocular Oncology in Barts Hospital, The Royal London Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
  • She is the Lead of the Paediatric Ophthalmology Department at Whipps Cross University Hospital in London and she also works and operates at Royal London Hospital in London. She has research interests and has published a number of papers in the areas of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Ocular Oncology.
