Consultant at The Royal London Hospital

Dr Anna Riddell is a General Paediatric Consultant with special interests in Infectious Diseases and Child Safeguarding. Anna became a consultant in 2005 and has 25 years’ experience in Paediatrics working in London, Oxford and Uganda.

She has previously held senior leadership positions at Barts Health and is now focusing on clinical practice, research into infectious disease and developing appraisal and coaching skills. Anna established the North East London Child Sexual Abuse Hub at the Royal London Hospital. She is a Clinical Ambassador for the Brandon Centre for young people in North London. Anna is a keen year round outdoor swimmer.

Research interests

Research active for 20 years in the fields of Paediatric tuberculosis, HIV, vaccine development, antimicrobial stewardship. Anna is currently collaborating on the Recovery trial and trials in Kawasaki Disease and the genetic basis of paediatric infection.
