Mr Juan Martin Lazaro

Dr Martin completed his specialist training in Intensive Care Medicine in Spain in 2013. After his elective rotation in the Liver ICU at Kings College University Hospital, he settled in the UK where he has been practicing as a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine since 2013.

He acquired significant experience in Medical Management while working in several University Hospitals where he was Medical Director for five years. He is also a Biochemical Pathologist with a PhD on Metabolic Syndrome and Cardiovascular Risk Factors, leading research in critical care and tracheostomy management.

Research interests

Dr Martin's research interests and publications are mainly in the fields of nasal high flow therapy and intoxications. He has been principal investigator of several trials and was awarded an Innovation award by Queen Mary University in 2015 and 2016.
