Dr Stefan Sevastru

Consultant at The Royal London Hospital

Dr Sevastru is a consultant anaesthetist with an interest in major trauma, vascular and hepatobiliary major complex surgery.  He is part of the Trauma Anaesthesia Group (TAG) which works in close cooperation with the Trauma Service at the Royal London Hospital. 

Dr Sevastru’s non-clinical areas of interest are: patient safety, translational simulation, team ergonomics and system engineering in healthcare. 
He has considerable experience in running high fidelity multidisciplinary simulations in conjunction with a modified Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) tool in order to identify latent risks and reduce harm in healthcare. 

His work on harm reduction in healthcare has received international recognition at conferences such as ISQUA.
