Dr Vanessa Foggo

Dr Vanessa Foggo is a consultant haematologist at Barts Health NHS Trust specialising in the management of haematological malignancy and the late effects of treatment. She trained at Cambridge University followed by the Royal Free/UCL medical school, qualifying in 2003. She completed MRCP in 2006 and FRCPath in 2015 having undertaken haematology specialist training in NE London. She has an interest in myeloma, the long term consequences of treatment of haematological malignancy, and the surveillance and management of late effects.

Treatments and procedures

Dr Foggo delivers chemotherapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapy and stem cell transplant. She manages the late effects of chemotherapy. She delivers inpatient and outpatient myeloma, lymphoma and chronic myeloid leukaemia care.

Research interests

Since joining Barts, Dr Foggo has taken an active interest in clinical research. She is principal investigator of RADAR (Myeloma XV) clinical trial. 

Leadership roles

Dr Foggo leads the late effects service. She is involved in overseeing the chemotherapy day unit. She supervises the third year medical students’ clinical attachment and the physician associates working with the team.
