Charles honoured with lifetime achievement award
Dr Charles Gutteridge, Chief Clinical Informatics Officer for the Trust, has been given special recognition in a lifetime achievement award at the digital health summer school.
He was recognised for his lifetime endeavour in working with colleagues in East London and in his national roles. He is highly respected for the impact he has made in the transition to clinical health records and also for his leadership in clinical informatics more widely.
Charles gave a warm acceptance speech to an appreciative audience of 500 digital health and informatics leaders. He particularly referenced his work in East London and the special place that this is as well as being part of the national networks and working with the majority of the people in the room.
His speech and award were met with warm and rapturous applause as well as a standing ovation.
Colleagues commented on the respect for Charles and his work and his calm, kind and knowledgeable approach. A well deserved and excellent recognition.
Judges said they were 'thoroughly impressed by Charles' contribution to the digital health community and his personal mission to see SNOMED clinical terms adopted across the NHS.'
