The Barts Health Heroes Awards, generously funded by Barts Charity, recognises staff and volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to both patients and colleagues.

This year, a magnificent 1,265 nominations were received between 1 October 2022 and 30 September 2023. This follows the unveiling of our new award categories, designed to elevate recognition and encourage a continued commitment to compassionate care and innovation.

Congratulations to the 20 teams and 20 individuals who emerged as finalists, representing a spectrum of 11 professions across all sites. This diverse representation mirrors our commitment to acknowledging excellence across the entire Trust.

Anticipation is building for the announcement of the winners at The Brewery on 7 February 2024. The evening commences with the Barts Charity Awards showcasing finalists selected by Barts Charity, before transitioning to our own Barts Health Heroes Awards.

Ros Waring, corporate events manager, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming year, revealing:

The February awards ceremony promises to be a highlight showcasing not only our winners but also the continuous efforts of our staff that make a positive impact.

We've also secured an impressive £850,000 grant from Barts Charity to launch a new innovative recognition programme so we are very excited to launch our programme of recognition for all our people based on valuable feedback from our staff.

Why not nominate a colleague or team for a Barts Health Heroes Award today! To give your nominee the best chance of winning an award, follow these simple steps

If you have any queries, please contact the events team.
