Newham Hospital to offer Covid-19 vaccines to the public
From next week, Newham Hospital will be offering Covid-19 vaccines to members of the public, as well as staff and their family and friends.
The clinics – situated in Health Central, Zone 6 of the hospital – will be open from 8:30am to 7pm on certain days of the week (see below). First, second and booster doses of a Covid-19 vaccine will be on offer to anyone aged 16 or over. People who had their second dose of a vaccine at least three months ago can have their booster jab at these clinics.
Booking is required, and anyone wishing to book an appointment should use the National Booking System, selecting Newham Hospital from the drop-down menu.
The clinic is open:
- 27th and 28th Dec
- 3rd Jan
- 8th and 9th Jan
- From then on, every weekend through to end of March.
Dr Liat Sarner, the senior responsible officer for vaccines at Newham Hospital encourages anyone who hasn’t yet had three doses of a Covid-19 vaccine to attend the clinic: “Getting three doses of a Covid-19 vaccine is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones and those in your local community from becoming seriously ill with Covid-19. I hope that by making these vaccines easily available to the people of Newham – and beyond – we can encourage more people to get a jab as soon as possible.
