Dr Amit Bali
Consultant at The Royal London HospitalAmit is a Consultant Paediatrician with an expertise in epilepsy. He graduated from UCL in 2006, and completed all of his Paediatric training in London. He has an MSc in Advanced Paediatrics and a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Healthcare. He was previously a Darzi Fellow and maintains an interest in Clinical Leadership alongside his clinical work.
Amit is an Honorary Research Associate at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. He is a Trustee at Young Epilepsy and bibic.
Research interests
Amit worked as a Darzi Fellow and subsequently leads the ICE (Improving Care in Epilepsy) work, working in partnership with children and families. He has published papers calling for a holistic system of care for children and young people with epilepsy, advocating for this at a national policy level, and also chairing the Healthy London Partnership Epilepsy Standards for Children and Young People.
Amit is currently Principal Investigator at Barts Health for the PACE study (Physical Activity in Childhood Epilepsy).
